Chelmsford Motor Club is pleased to announce the 2007 Midsummer Endurance - a day/night road rally for cars limited to 1400cc petrol and 2000cc diesel engines, built to the Endurance Road Rally formula and using Colway tyres.

This year the event moves to north Norfolk and is again supporting the East Anglian Air Ambulance; last year we raised over £1100 for the charity.

The rally will be based around RAF Sculthorpe, with afternoon selectifs forming the bulk of the day leg. The night leg will include selectifs at Sculthorpe and include timed sections on public tracks and lanes. Some parts of the tests and whites will be rough and bumpy, so sump guards are recommended.

The start, finish & breakfast-time awards presentation will be at Fakenham racecourse http://www.fakenhamracecourse.co.uk – camping, caravanning and trailer parking space are available. The route instructions will be straightforward - a combination of marked colour printed extracts from OS maps, a few simple tulip defined plot and bash sections and detailed selectif diagrams will ensure that crews of all abilities can complete the rally.
