Press Release:- BMW MINI COOPER CHALLENGE 2020 Date Sept 2019


Based in Whitchurch North Shropshire, I have been in motorsport, mainly stage rallying all my working life as owner of rallyschool.co.uk and rallyme.co.uk until retiring earlier this year. It hasn’t gone well as it has left a hole in the sport. We hired rally cars and the support needed to customers from all over the UK and as far afield as Canada and USA. I felt retirement will have to wait a touch longer following so many requests to continue using the clubman ethos we have used over many years.

Hence I have taken up the challenge of promoting a series for the clubman, A one make series for identical cars, these being the BMW Mini Cooper prepared with a full specified kit to ensure a level playing field. Spec includes LSD's etc etc a full spec can be found on fb page.
Having only announced recently, we have had lots of interest from customers and the media. The first car has been built at our workshop in Whitchurch and has cost under 5K excluding the 10 days labour it took to build. Testing on various events in 2019 is now underway.

The provisional championship will be 8 events using both Tarmac and Gravel Rallies.
Lots of new initiatives such as, one crew on each round winning their entry fees back, plus lots more.
