Once again, Britishrally.co.uk, the UK's premier rallying forum have teamed up with Delacy Motor Club to run a photo competition for the 2009 R.A.C Rally. The competition will run from now until the end of Christmas Day.

It does not matter if you have a point and shoot camera or a fancy DSLR - have a go, you just never know, you might win!

JUDGING

The Competition will be judged by former Competition winner Jon 'polo' Petford.


THE PRIZES

With many thanks to David Winstanley and the RAC Rally organisers, the winner will receive:

A copy of this year's RAC Rally DVD,
RAC Branded Thermal Mug, as given to crews on the 2008 event,
RAC Pen, as given to crews on the 2009 event,
RAC Keyring, as given to marshals on the 2009 event,
RAC Wooly Hat, as given to marshals on the 2008 event,
RAC Road Book for 2009 event, used by the course closing crew,
RAC Polo Shirt. (not used!!)

The top 3 photos will also be displayed on the RAC Rally stand at the Autosport Show in January 2010.

If the winner is able to attend the Autosport Show then they will be officially presented with their prizes on the stand at the show, else they will be posted to them.


HOW TO ENTER

Once you have decided which picture you want to enter please check carefully to ensure it complies with the competition rules below then post your entry on the 'Entries' thread on this section of the forum.

Please also include the following information when you post your entry:

1. Your full name,
2. Who the picture is of (assuming you can identify the crew!),
3. Stage name if possible,
4. Camera equipment used.

The competition entries threads will be checked regularly - entries that are too large, or do not comply with any of the other competition rules will simply be deleted so please make sure you have read and understand the rules!


THE RULES

1. The competition is open to residents of the UK. We regret that we are unable to post prizes overseas.
2. Posted photographs should be in the form of a JPG image. Scanned images are acceptable.
3. All photographs posted MUST be no larger than 500 pixels in width.
4. You may only enter 1 photograph.
5. You MUST be the person who took the photograph posted. We will not accept any entries on behalf of 3rd parties.
6. The competition will close for entries on 25th December 2009, results will be announced shortly after this date.
7. If you feel you must put a copyright message on the image, please keep it small and not across the centre of the image - this is a competition after all and people should be able to see the photograph correctly - if you don't like this rule, no one is forcing you to enter!
8. Use of image manipulation is allowed only to enhance colours, sharpness etc. Images that have been made by assembling a multitude of images will not be accepted. Also altering images to mis-represent locations i.e. adding in jumps and/or water splashes etc. is not permitted.
9. The decision of the judge is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
10. We reserve the right to substitute or withdraw any offered prizes at any time.
11. No cash alternatives will be offered instead of prizes.
12. By entering you agree to abide by these competition rules.
13. Pictures should be of a suitable quality for displaying on the Competition Galleries. We reserve the right to remove entries that are of a particularly poor quality and would detract from the rest of the competition.
14. If your entry features in the top 3 after the competiton has been judged, you agree to provide a higher resolution version for the RAC Rally organisers to display on their Autosport Show stand in January and for possible use in other promotional material (suitably credited) for the 2010 event.
